Stiles & Co Chartered Surveyors take the wellbeing and safety of our employees and clients very seriously. We are complying with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
In our office we are following the Governments guidance on Social Distancing and Working Safely in Offices.
As advised by the Government on the 11 May 2020, we are able to conduct inspections of properties.
However, we will not enter a property where a member of the household is showing symptoms of Coronavirus or is self-isolating. This will be confirmed prior to the inspection.
All our inspections are by appointment only, with one person visiting the property at any time. We are following the Governments guidance for Social Distancing and Working Safely in Other People’s Homes when outside the office and conducting inspections.
If your home is being valued / surveyed we ask that all parts of the property that we need to inspect are accessible and that you make every effort to minimise contact with us. Ideally you enable us access and then vacate the property (wait in the garden or in your car) during our inspection. If this is not possible we request that you remain in the separate room from us whilst we are in the property. We also request that where possible all doors and cupboards are open including loft hatches.
PRIVACY POLICY/GDPR
Where health information is obtained to enable our staff to carry out a survey/inspection and the vendor/occupier of a property to have a survey/inspection carried out during COVID-19, we will continue to maintain this confidential information under the rules of the General Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
